Vault 2016 – Configuring Autodesk Vault with Plant 3D

Autodesk has continued to extend Vault integrations from its manufacturing origins, which now includes Revit and Plant 3D. Where non-manufacturing workflows may differ (as with Revit and Plant 3D), a local database provides the management of project-based designs. By providing the integration with Vault, design data can be synchronized to a central Vault database. This integration provides a robust common SQL-based storage for companies operating multi-CAD disciplines.

Specifically for Plant 3D integration, earlier documentation provided specified the use of SQL-Lite and SQL Express products to support the local Plant 3D database, however I recently stumbled on the following current document that provides guidance in using a full SQL instance using the latest supported products (see link below).
