Despite Revit being mainly a structure and building modelling tool. The software does possess some useful site and topography tools which enables users to view a structure in context.

I have written a white paper that outlines using these tools to grade an existing surveyed surface suitable for construction.

Once complete the model can be viewed in its original form and as the proposed construction. The cut and fill volumes can also be scheduled to provided information on what needs to be added or removed from site.
