Did you know that you can change the leader type, colour, linetype, line weight, arrowhead, and size on each individual leader leg as shown in image below.
You can simply do this by holding down the Ctrl key and selecting each or all leader line you wish to change. I have also put a short video to demonstrate how to do this:
