Title: Vault 2017 – Searches and Shortcuts

In this Insider feature, we are showcasing a blog post by Chris Turner. This really helpful guide shows how to create and use searches as well as shortcuts within Autodesk Vault.

By Chris Turner

In my day to day work in Inventor with Vault, I really like using saved searches. Being able to search and find files quickly has got to be one of the biggest benefits to using any of the Vault versions.

I also like the ‘Shortcuts’ panel. I usually use this as a ‘to-do’ list.

Folders can be created and file shortcuts can be copied here, giving very convenient access to the files when you want to work with them.

Not only can you use these in the Vault Client, but also in the CAD applications too.

The ‘Open From Vault’ dialogue displays these.

Make sure you maximise the use of your Vault with these quick and easy tools.
