Cadline’s DynamicMaps team recently attended the AGI GeoCom 2017 event on 26th October 2017 at the Royal Geographic Society in Kensington, London. The theme this year was Smart Geospatial, and we were happy to provide our thoughts on what this meant to us and our customers, breaking the theme down into Smart Data, Smart Processes enabling a Smarter Future.

The main conference talks were all around the central theme of Smart Geospatial and ranged from a discussion by Charlotte Jee (editor of TechWorld Magazine) of how Smart Tech is enabling a Smarter Future for us all (where soon Uber will have flying Taxis in the US!), to a talk from Phil Graham (CEO, National Infrastructure Commission) on how we need greater collaboration between the public and private sector to ensure we use geo data more effectively.
Cadline were again sponsors of this event and we were happy to strengthen our ties with the Association for Geographic Information. During the event, we discussed how Autodesk products such as InfraWorks and Open Source Geospatial software including QGIS, GeoServer and PostGIS would enable increased interoperability and project sharing to promote Smarter Working practices.
We were also proud to showcase the release of our re-designed interface for the DynamicMaps webGIS – MapThat V3. This new version is a complete re-design and refresh of the user interface, building on all the fantastic Map, Import and Printing tools that are available within MapThat. The new version allows you to integrate your web mapping both internally and on external devices in a more intuitive interface. Try it for yourself on our TryMapThat website.
