As an alternative to creating a fully rendered image from either the Inventor Studio tools or an external application such as 3ds Max, here are a few tips in creating a little more realism to your on-screen model. This example image depicts a cast component with machined finished faces.
General setup tips:
- Set a suitable base material for the model.
- Secondly, select individual faces (use Cntrl-pick for multiples), then right click to change appearances of the face properties.
- Set required shadows and reflections.
- If you wish to export an image format file (jpg, png etc.) select the required file format via `Save Copy As’ and select resolution settings via the Option button.
