Top Tip for QGIS 3.16 Release:

While looking for what’s new in QGIS 3.16, I found a great new way to identify and copy the map coordinates for your cursor location.

Simply right click in the map canvas and by default the context menu will give you an option to Copy Coordinate. You can choose to copy the coordinates in the Projects current map projection, or choose to set your own Custom CRS.

In this example we will choose the  Maps CRS – BNG: 27700 – and the Easting and Northings are then copied to your Clipboard…. where you can then paste them for use elsewhere.
