CadSHARE – Rename AutoCAD Drawings

Using CadSHARE you can easily rename AutoCAD Drawings stored in your SharePoint repository.

How?

CadSHARE is a plugin tool for AutoCAD and allows you to store, retrieve, update and manage all your organisations AutoCAD Drawing Files in your SharePoint repository.

To view any AutoCAD Drawing files (.DWGs) from your SharePoint instance, choose the Open tool.

The CadSHARE Open window will appear.

If there is an AutoCAD Drawing File (.DWG) that you wish to rename, simply select it from the list > right click and choose Rename.

Note - The Drawing must be checked out to you before you can rename it.

Rename the file by typing a new name and then click away from the file or press Return to save the changes.

If you then check your SharePoint website, you can see that the same DWG has also been renamed there too.

CadSHARE is therefore the perfect plugin to enable you to rename AutoCAD Drawings that are stored in your SharePoint repository, while still working within AutoCAD!
