CadSHARE – Drag and Drop AutoCAD Drawings

Using CadSHARE you can drag and drop files to copy any AutoCAD Drawing into other folders in your SharePoint repository.

How?

CadSHARE is a plugin tool for AutoCAD and allows you to store, retrieve, update and manage all your organisations AutoCAD Drawing Files in your SharePoint repository.

To drag and drop AutoCAD Drawing files within your SharePoint instance, choose the CadSHARE Open tool.

The Open window will appear, listing the current AutoCAD Drawing files in each folder of your SharePoint instance.

Next, open Windows Explorer to find the Drawing file you wish to copy/move.

Then simply select the Drawing file from Windows Explorer and drag it into the CadSHARE Open window onto a folder of your choice.

For example, below, we have chosen the AutoCAD Drawing called Drawing_To_DragandDrop.DWG and we have dragged and dropped it from Windows Explorer into the EXTRA DATA folder within the CadSHARE Open window.

When you let go the file will be copied to that folder in SharePoint.

Note – you can drag and drop up to 5 Drawing Files from Windows Explorer at any one time.

The CadSHARE plugin therefore provides your users with a simple way to copy and paste their AutoCAD Drawing Files into any SharePoint folder location!
