MEPworx Wiring – Section 543.7 and High Protective Conductor Currents

Ring/Radial circuits that provide a conductor to IT equipment may have present >10mA of circulating earth current which requires additional protection measures e.g. multiple CPC's, specific wiring types and minimum CSA's for certain wiring types. These additional measures are applicable at Final Circuit level.

To be able to set up the Additional Earthing requirements for 573.7 in the Detailed Cable Entry dialog, you must first set the cable’s Core Type .e.g. 2 single, 4 single 2 core etc, not Auto. Then you can click on the ‘543.7’ button to access the Additional Earthing options.

To confirm that Additional Earthing measures have been selected, the 543.7 button changes to Bold-Italic.
