In support of the requirements of Regulation 534.4.4, Over Voltage Protection, also know as Surge Protective Devices (SPDs), can now be set up in all parts of the electrical distribution network.

As can be seen in the Over Voltage Protection dialog boxes, full details of the SPD can be entered.
This includes the option to select Types 1, 2 or 3, or Combination SPDs, e.g. Type 2 & 3, for Connection Types CT1 or CT2.

The Wiring program has checks in place to ensure that depending on their position in the network, the minimum entered Nominal Discharge Current rating of the device(s) and the Connection Types, are all as per the requirements of Tables 534.3 or 534.4 respectively.

Please refer to the Wiring Program's Help (F1) for more information.
