Did You Know?

Using RevitSHARE you can drag and drop files to copy any Revit File into other folders in your SharePoint repository.

How?

RevitSHARE is a plugin tool for Revit and allows you to store, retrieve, update and manage all your organisations Revit Files in your SharePoint repository.
To drag and drop Revit files within your SharePoint instance, choose the RevitSHARE Open tool.

The Open window will appear, listing the current Revit files in each folder of your SharePoint instance.

Next, open Windows Explorer to find the Revit file you wish to copy/move.

Then simply select the Revit file from Windows Explorer and drag it into the RevitSHARE Open window onto a folder of your choice.
For example, below, we have chosen the Revit File called curtainwall_DragAndDrop and we have dragged and dropped it from Windows Explorer into the EXTRA DATA folder within the RevitSHARE Open window…

…and when you let go the file will be copied to that folder in SharePoint.

Note – you can drag and drop up to 5 Revit Files from Windows Explorer at any one time.

The RevitSHARE plugin therefore provides your users with a simple way to copy and paste their Revit Files into any SharePoint folder location!
