Address & Street Management – Numbered Streets (Attach a Single ESU)

In this ‘How To’ tutorial, we will learn how to Manage Numbered Streets in the DynamicMaps Address & Street Management Application.

When editing the geometry of a Named Street that is associated to a Numbered Street you must consider how changing the geometry of the Named Street will affect the associated Numbered Street.

Attach a single ESU to a Numbered Street

There can be times that you wish to add the geometry of an existing Named Street to the geometry of your Numbered Street. And in this example we have a missing part of Charlesfield Street that could be associated to the Numbered Street B226.

Find the ESUID of the missing part of Charlesfield Road at this location by displaying the All ESUs layer and clicking on the Street in the map.

… the ESUID is 541426172253.

In the Numbered Street record, choose the Street Xref tab, and then choose the Attach  Xref ESU button…

… in the Attach USRN geometry page, we can either search using the ESUID or type the Named Street – in this case Charlesfield.

Here we have found the ESUID value – 541426172253 – which we can tick and at the bottom of the page choose Attach.

The list of associated Street Xrefs (ESUs) is then updated to attach the chosen ESU(s).

And the Numbered Street record will update to show the Street geometry now includes the attached ESU record.
