In this ‘How To’ tutorial, we will learn how to create a New Street in the DynamicMaps Address & Street Management Application.

Having chosen the Add New Street button a New USRN form will open, with the next USRN value available being auto chosen.

In addition, the following information is added automatically:

  • State (1 – under construciton) – change this value as needed.
  • Start and End X & Y values - these values can be updated as required.

You can then add any additional details as needed, including:

  • Street Descriptor – the name of the Street record
  • Locality Name – a locality value
  • Town Name – the town name
  • Admin Area – an administrative area

Having entered the extra mandatory values (shown in red), choose the Must Validate Complete Street Details button.

.. and the new Street Record will auto open in edit mode, with a map showing the Street Record drawn using the Start and End X&Y values.

In addition, having created a new Street Record, the Street Descriptor record is auto created at the bottom of the page.

If you click on the LPI tab at the top of the page, notice that a new LPI record has also been auto created.

Note – the LPI relates to the Street Record.

Clicking on the Street Xref tab we can see one individual ESU, which relates to the geometry as auto generated by the system.

Choosing the edit pencil will then open the details for the ESU record.

Note – currently the ESU record matches the full geometry of the related Street Record.

Choose Close and we exit out of the ESU record and return to view the new Street record.
