Address & Street Management – Edit ESUs

In this ‘How To’ tutorial, we will learn how to Edit an ESU Record in the DynamicMaps Address & Street Management Application.

Having searched for a Street record, view the Street Xref tab to view the ESU’s associated to that Street.

To view the details of the ESU, click the edit pencil button, and the ESU record will open.

The main ESU details are shown on the left, including the ID, Direction, Tolerance, start and end coordinates.

With additional tabs for Oneway Exemptions and Highway Dedications.

To the right is a map showing the chosen ESU Record geometry.

And at the bottom of the page are listed the individual X&Y values for each vertex of that line.

In the map if we choose to display the layer called All ESUs (by direction) we can see all other ESU records styled by their Direction.

• Green – Both ways
• Blue – One Way in direction from Start to End
• Red – One Way in direction from End to Start

If we edit the ESU details, and change the Direction to (3) One Way in direction from End to Start.

Once we Save the changes…

… notice that the ESU changes colour from Green to Red (with arrows), to denote the change in Direction.
