Address & Street Management – Add Part to Street

In this ‘How To’ tutorial, we will learn how to Add a New Part to Street Geometry in the DynamicMaps Address & Street Management Application.

Add Street Part

Street geometry should by drawn as Elemental Street Units (ESUs) that snap to each other at intersections, thus creating multiple ESU’s. To do this, we can use the Create Multipart geometry option and the Add Part Tool.

Firstly, in the Drawing Tools, ensure that the Create Multipart Geometry option is ticked.

Then from the Edit tools choose the Add Part button.

The steps to Add Part are listed at the bottom of the Drawing Tools.

Having followed the steps, we have now created a New Part of geometry attached to the Street record.

If we now view the Street Xref tab, we can see that there are now 2 ESU records, one for each Part of geometry.
