Previously, there has not been an option to set up LED luminaires as Emergency Fittings.
Now there is.

When setting up data entry for LED fittings, in the Lighting Database program, there is now a tick box ‘LED Emergency BLF’. This is where the effective BLF (Ballast Lumen Factor, used under mains-failure conditions) can be entered.

e.g. For Emergency Lighting levels, high risk task areas are required to be illuminated to a level of not less than 10% of the average of the normal lighting provided at that point.

e.g. If the LED fitting has 20 internal LEDs to provide normal mains lighting, under mains-failure conditions, the fitting's internal connections would supply not less than 2 of the LED drivers.
So if for example, 5 of the LED drivers were to remain ‘active’, the Emergency BLF factor would be entered as 0.25. Thus you will have the reduced lumen output under Emergency operation.
Basically, the proportion of 'emergency use' LEDs to 'normal use'  LEDs, would be used to calculate the effective BLF rating of the LED fitting under mains-failure conditions.
