Address & Street Management – Numbered Streets (Attach Multiple ESUs)

In this ‘How To’ tutorial, we will learn how to Manage Numbered Streets in the DynamicMaps Address & Street Management Application.

When editing the geometry of a Named Street that is associated to a Numbered Street you must consider how changing the geometry of the Named Street will affect the associated Numbered Street.

Attach Multiple ESUs to a Numbered Street

In a previous FAQ we removed all the ESUs on Charlesfield Street that were associated to our Numbered Street, the B226. Let’s now explore how we can add them back in again.

In the Numbered Street record, choose the Street Xref tab, and then choose the Attach  Xref ESU button…

… in the Attach USRN geometry page, we can either search using the ESUID or type the Named Street – in this case Charlesfield.

This time we will tick all the ESU records assocated to Charlesfield (Street) and at the bottom of the page choose Attach.

The list of associated Street Xrefs (ESUs) is then updated to attach the chosen ESU(s).

And the Numbered Street record will update to show the Street geometry now includes the attached ESU records, and the length value has been auto updated.
