How can I search for postcodes within QGIS?

Answer:

Within QGIS choose the Plugins menu and search for Geocoding.

Install the Geocoding tool and it will be added into QGIS and revealed as a new tool on the Plugins Toolbar.

Click on the Geocoding tool and a new window appears where you can type a UK postcode. For example type TW18 2AP which is the postcode for the Cadline Staines office.

Press OK and the map will re-centre over the chosen postcode and a layer added to the map which has a label for the result.
