Flex tokens were introduced a few years ago, replacing Cloud Credits, which enabled users to utilise a range of products and services.
The Flex token model is best suited for occasional users who can:
- Buy tokens to access a wide range of Autodesk products.
- Use tokens to access a product for 24 hours at a time or to generate a result.
- Assign as many users as you want to Flex and manage which products they can access.
If using Autodesk software on a frequent basis, it is generally best to buy an Autodesk subscription.
I was recently asked about Token usage specifically on Revit.
The question was, how long do Flex tokens last? Can I roll them over or do they expire?
The answer is no, each Flex token pack is valid for one year from the date of purchase. If a Flex token pack reaches its end date with a positive balance of tokens, the remaining tokens expire. Tokens from expired subscriptions don’t roll over and there is no refund for unused expired tokens.
