AutoCAD 2011 - Status Line Display

A question that crops up from time to time with AutoCAD users is how do I change the status line icons to buttons containing words?

The appearance of the status line can be changed simply by right clicking on any icon on the left side of the status line, from the displayed menu select “Use Icons”; this will change the icons to buttons with words.
