Civil 3D 2018 Surface missing in upgraded file

I’ve recently come across an issue for a number of customers who have upgraded files between versions of Civil 3D.

In certain cases, surface display seem to go missing from the drawing area, although the surface is present in the prospector and is a default style. 

When a file is upgraded and then the surface or corridor rebuilt, the surface properties>build>use maximum angle gets set to YES and for some reason 0.000 as the maximum.To resolve this, either set this to No, or set an appropriate maximum angle.
