Need a transparent background for an image export from Inventor?

When exporting an image directly from model space to .png you may not create a file with a transparent background.

However, if you want a higher quality render with a transparent background:

Select the Inventor Studio environment.

Within this environment select render.

Then “Output” and select “Save Rendered Image”.

Choose a file location and .png.

Then in “Options” in the save dialogue box select “Alpha Channel”.

Select “Render” and the image will render based on the size and parameters you set up.

The image will then have a transparent background and be of a higher render quality ready for use in your documentation.
