AutoCAD has had the ability to produce PDF files of drawings for several years, but for Revit users 3rd party applications had to be used such as Adobe Acrobat. However, due to user requests a PDF exporter is now included with the Revit 2022 release.

Simply, choose File>Export and select relevant options to export to PDF format. When exporting multiple PDF files, rules can be established to name the PDF files according to appropriate standards. In the past the bulk renaming of PDF files was often achieved with a dynamo script or via the API.

These values can be set as prefix, suffix with custom separators and set to any order as desired.

The exported PDF files are just in 2D format, if 3D formats are required then users should consider DWFx or the Unity Workflow via IFC export.
