Revit 2022 – New feature – Walls: Suppress display of non-structural components

A much-requested feature for Revit is the ability to supress the display of non-structural elements within walls. With the image displayed below we see a typical Cavity wall with both plaster, air gap and brick façade component displayed.

However, with Revit 2022 there is now a new subcategory called Non-core layers, suppressing this component within Visibility Graphics overrides will just display the structural elements in that view. Whether elements are structural or not is controlled in the type properties, structure section of each wall family.

This display option can easily be incorporated into view template settings.
