Revit 2022: New Feature – Tapered Walls

Create tapered walls as architectural, or structural walls to include in your design.

Introduction

Last year, Revit introduced a new feature called Slanted Walls. In the latest release, you now have access to tapered walls.

Enabling the Tapered Wall Function

The tapered wall angle can be defined in the type properties, but we can override it for each instance. To enable the tapered wall, you need to check the Variable properties in the Edit Assembly dialog.

After you have activated it, you can see the Cross Section Properties in the Type Properties dialog.

Making a Wall Tapered

To make your wall tapered, you can change the cross-section in the Properties Palette.

The example below shows a retaining wall that is straight on one side but slanted on the other.
