AutoCAD 2022 – Product Help

AutoCAD 2022 Product Help is available online and is not installed with the product by default. However the AutoCAD 2022 Product Help can now be downloaded and installed onto either the computer / laptop which has AutoCAD 2022 installed or to a local network location, for those situations when there is weak or no internet access.

To download the “Help” data, firstly add the “Menu Bar” to the “Workspace”, by selecting “Show Menu Bar” from the “Quick Access Menu” drop down list, so that the menu bar appears above the Ribbon.

Select “Help” from the “Menu Bar”, from the displayed menu select “Download Offline Help” as shown in Figure 1.

Once selected, you are redirected to the “Download and Install AutoCAD  2022 Product Help” section of the “Autodesk Knowledge Network” web page as shown in Figure 2.

From the displayed list, select the required language, the corresponding executable file will now download in to the “Downloads “folder.

Run the “exe” to install.

Although this is ideal if you have poor or no internet connection since the “AutoCAD Help” is now installed on the PC / laptop, the “Online Help” uses a better search engine and is more likely to contain up to date information.

To switch between the “Installed Help” and “Online help”, open the “Options” dialogue box and in the “Systems” tab in the “Help” section check the “Access Online Content When Available”, as shown in Figure 3.

Remove the tick to use the “Installed Help”.

Note: - If the product help has been downloaded and installed, then “Offline Help” will automatically display by default if access to the internet is not available.
