A recent question from one of my training delegates was about the availability of a file viewer that can read files of several formats, without having to install any software. Depending upon your requirements there are several options, but the most straightforward is the Free Online viewer that supports over 80 file formats.

Other file formats including Revit, Inventor, FBX, Navis, IGES and DGN can also be accessed and viewed.

If more functionality is required then there are other viewing methods, but these will typically require installing a client application, that will enable such features as more accurate measurement, file conversion and plotting. This will also depend upon the file being viewed and the application that is installed.
