AutoCAD 2023 - Cutbase

This command is applicable to all AutoCAD verticals as well.

The new CUTBASE command copies selected objects to the Clipboard, along with a specified base point, and removes them from the current drawing. This saves time in comparison with the previous workflow of Copy with basepoint, cut & paste.

• Select Home tab > Clipboard panel > Cut with Base Point
• Select the base point on the drawing
• Select the objects you want to cut, and press Enter [8  ]
• Use PASTECLIP to specify the insertion point when pasting the objects into other drawings
