T4I (Tools4Inventor) is an add-in for Autodesk Inventor that helps speed up routine tasks. It is an easy-to-use tool that doesn’t require any coding experience.

What makes T4I very accessible is that administrators can configure and deploy the settings for most commands, so users never have to worry about set up. All commands are available under the “Be.Smart T4I” tab :

The areas of focus are:

  • iProperties management
  • Document publishing
  • Improving or simplifying modelling and drafting workflows

iProperty management:

Auto iProperties – this feature will automatically fill, update and synchronise properties as needed, without a need for manual trigger. Once configured, the specified properties will be updated automatically:

Edit iProperties is useful when there are fields that need user input. Instead of having to go through all iProperty sections to find what is important, users can leverage this command and launch a pre-configured form and update only what is essential.

Document publishing – Export settings can be pre-configured, so users can output files with one simple click:

Modelling and drafting workflow tools

Drawing tools such as Annotations are added to a quick access panel, so users can simply select what they need to add, then the dimensions that require updates:

Model environment tools allow users to apply a pre-configured Display Name in one simple click:

Or Push parameters (user parameters) from any assembly into all components in one go, as an alternative to parameter linking via iLogic:
