QGIS – Reorder Fields in New GeoPackage

In QGIS 3.40 and onwards you can re-order fields when you create a New GeoPackage file.

Previously when creating a new GeoPackage file, there was no way to re-order Fields, they would be defined in the order that you created them. If you wanted to re-order a field, you would have to start the process again.

However, now, when using the New GeoPackage tool, once the Fields have been created, you can use he Up and Down arrows to re-order fields as you require.

.. for example, moving New Field 2 to the top of the list!

This is a great enhancement and will hopefully save you from having to start the process again!
