AutoCAD Electrical 2027 - What’s Next in the AutoCAD Electrical ARKANCE UK Localiser 2027

With the recent release of AutoCAD Electrical 2027 and the whole Autodesk 2027 family, we have launched ARKANCE UK Localiser 2027, which operates with AutoCAD Electrical 2027, 2026, & 2025. Adding to the already long list of comprehensive functionality and content, the following is included in the new release. Further information on the benefits of the ARKANCE UK Localiser can be found in the overview. Enhancements that boost clarity in drawing documentation have been added to the ARKANCE UK Localiser.

New

• New command Wipeout Footprints: this replaces the previous command. It automatically creates wipeouts on all blocks selected within a panel layout drawing. The previous command is still valid when run on an entire footprint library subdirectory or on an individual footprint drawing. The new command typically saves a few minutes per wipeout, which on a large drawing can accumulate into a considerable time saving.
   
• New command  FromTo_Xref : this annotates the schematic from & to component TAG linked to the associated source and destination arrows.
  It annotates the TAG information into the DESC1 attribute of the connected source and destination arrows. This command improves project documentation.
   
• Updated Electrical + ribbon
  Includes the new command FromTo_Xref
  
  

Improved

• The previous Wipeout Footprint command has been enhanced and no longer requires a separate LISP file to be loaded. The FULLWIPEOUT command can now be run on an entire footprint library subdirectory, adding a wipeout to all footprints within the selected directory using Modify Symbol Library. For an individual footprint, you can run the command FULLWIPEOUT.
   
• Improved aesthetics with various reports
  Several user posts have been added in order to concatenate information into one field thus providing greater aesthetics when publishing the reports. These improve project documentation.
   
  • Cables From/To Report (CABLECON)
    Added user post to have from/to component descriptions included within the report.

    This pushes the attribute information from the FROM & TO components descriptions into the rarely used fields of PNLX1, PNLY1, PNLZ1, PNLX2, PNLY2, & PNLZ2.
     
  • Terminals List (TERM)
    Added user post to concatenate terminal descriptions 1- 3 inclusive into DESC1 field

  • Drawings List (DWGLST)
    Added user post to concatenate drawing descriptions 1- 3 inclusive into DESC1 field

Minor

• Library Fixes
  Some child disconnect symbols (VDS2*) had incorrect rating attributes defined. These have been corrected.
   
• Style Fixes
  The image for Style6 signal cross referencing was missing. Now resolved.
