When setting up a server for use with Revit, you may not always have access to the Revit software itself. Revit Server is usually installed via the Revit installation itself, under “Install Tools & Utilities” and can take some time to setup. This is why Autodesk has provided Revit Server as free separate download, which is much quicker to install.
