Do you know your View in Revit has its own Detail Level that will start driving how things are drawn? Don’t forget that you can override that setting per element category by getting into the view’s Visibility Graphics settings and changing it in the Detail Level box on the far right.

Go to Visibility Graphics in your properties, or type V V on your keyboard to access the Overrides.
