A recent suggestion on the Revit Ideas Forum was to improve the tagging of elements. With the release of Revit 2022 Multi-category tags support the tagging of more categories such as railings and mass elements within a view. Either default parameters or bespoke shared parameters can be set to a label in a tag family. The family once loaded can be applied to an element individually or to multiple elements with the Tag All command in the Annotate tab of the Ribbon.

Whilst in previous releases this works with certain categories, in Revit 2022 more element types are taggable with the Multi-category tag.
