Revit 2021: Better Realistic Views

With the introduction of Revit 2021 came some new enhancements to realistic views. To further improve these takes only a few small changes to the default Graphics Display Options.

In the example below, view Camera2 is a copy of Camera1 and has the following settings to make it look more realistic:

1. Do Not Crop View
2. Untick Show Edges and tick Smooth Lines with anti-aliasing
3. Tick Cast Shadows and Show Ambient Shadows
4. Set lighting Scheme to include Sun and Artificial
5. Set a Background
6. These settings can then be saved as a View Template
