Revit has been able to import Rhino files into families for some time, but a new improvement is the ability to import or link Rhino 3DM files into Revit Project files directly.

The data imports as a single item, but respects elements such as layers as units in the same way as any conventional DWG or DXF file.

If linked, files can be unloaded, reloaded or removed as required. The controls to achieve this are found under the CAD Formats tab.

Rhino is a good complementary modeller for Revit and can be useful in the creation of such elements like complex roof elements.
