When working with structural plans and sections, obscured structural items that are situated within the view range or section depth should still show but with a hidden linestyle. Sometimes however, they do not show at all even though the view depth is set correctly.

If this happens check the View Properties palette and ensure that the view discipline is set to Structural and that the Show Hidden Lines setting is set to either By Discipline or All as required.
