Recently Autodesk announced an update to Revit 2022. One of the new features is outlined below.
New Feature: Find in Project Browser.
Select elements in your model and use a right click to locate the element in the Project Browser. In the illustrated example, the reception desk was selected and in the right click menu the Find in Project Browser option was chosen. The reception desk gets highlighted under the furniture category in the project browser.
This new search method makes it easier to work in models with many views, sheets, and model elements.
Project Browser: The Project Browser shows a logical hierarchy for all views, schedules, sheets, families, groups, linked Revit models and other parts of the current project. As you expand and collapse each branch, lower-level items display.
If at any time you've closed an interface element (e.g. the Properties Palette or the Project Browser), you can open them again through the User Interface button in the View tab of the Ribbon. You can also open them from the bottom of the right click menu.
