Use Global Parameters to Control Dimensions among Multiple Types

In this example, we have a curtain panel family with aluminium mullions.

When you click the little box to the right of each of the dimensions shown, you can associate a global parameter to each dimension.

Use the power of global parameters to automate the Offset, Sash Width and Thickness parameters listed in the Type Properties dialogue box.

Use the global parameters to adjust all the curtain window panels in the entire project. This concludes my current series of ways to use global parameters in Revit.
