Revit Tip – Unable to move or copy elements freely?

Sometimes when attempting to move elements within a Revit project, users find that elements seem to be constrained to only be moved in a horizontal or vertical direction. This can either be elements within a model view or viewports objects on a sheet.

This function can be easily toggled off or on as required and can be found on the options bar, typically just below the main ribbon menu. Untoggle the Constrain option to move elements in any direction.
