The align command is a useful function in Revit, but sometimes elements need to be aligned to an edge but with an offset distance. This can easily be done with a simple Dynamo Script using out of the box nodes. This script works well with any element including objects like beams, or pipes against elements like slab edges or walls.

The script can be run either from the Dynamo script editor or player as appropriate.
