Enscape is a great application which can be used to enhance your BIM software and enables users to dynamically design and create impressive visualisations in a streamlined and efficient manner. One of Enscape’s benefits is it sits inside a host application like Autodesk Revit making vivid visualisations simple and easy to produce, and achievable within the design process.
Enscape version 3.2 is now available and contains many new improvements. A major feature is Dynamic Asset Placement. The Enscape Asset library is now available to use within the rendering window itself. This will save time in users being able to select, place and edit assets from libraries within the rendering window in real-time. Placed element positions are reflected in the users host application, providing two-way asset placement.
The new release now provides the ability to place multiple assets simultaneously, such as trees, people or vegetation, with settings for density and distribution. Distribution options include jitter and random settings to provide more variety and create a natural look. People can be set looking in different directions thereby saving time refining models. Modified assets that are moved, rotated, scaled or removed will synchronise back to the project.
A much-requested feature within Enscape was the ability to batch render Panoramic scenes. Simply select the views to output, set the output option, image, mono or stereo from the revised Enscape toolbar.
Panoramas have also been improved with the introduction of Panorama Tours. Tour modes provide the ability to link panorama views in a more graphical and intuitive way. Rather than using the next or previous buttons in the gallery, visible markers are available to select and go directly to the relevant panoramic view.
When designing today there is an increasing demand and need for sustainability. This is reflected with the provision of new green building assets and materials in the library. Over 150 green assets are provided including a diverse range of trees, plants and flowers, also wind turbines, charging points and some electric vehicles.
In the material library users now have access to 50 new materials including solar roof tiles, recycled plastics, bamboo fencing, organics bricks, wood and various soil options. There are also options for printed concrete, chipboard, wallpapers, marble, granite and leather. Also added to the asset library are 50 new people assets to use within scenes.
Back in 2019 Enscape incorporated Nvidia RTX ray-tracing technology into the Enscape engine. This led to ray-traced sun shadows enhancing still render and panorama exports. Output has been improved even further with an increased and improved shadow sharpness and accuracy. This quality has been extended to video output and real-time walkthroughs. This setting can be controlled within the general settings section for ray-traced shadows.
Other main improvements include refined project upload management functions, geometry update toggle, Vulkan ray-trace support for AMD GPUs and Windows 11 support.

Enscape’s many functions compliment Revit’s standard out of the box presentation tools and cloud solutions. A 14-day trial of Enscape for Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino or SketchUP is available on https://enscape3d.com.
