A recent Revit question I had whilst discussing project templates was the best way to transfer a series of schedule views from another project. This is a straightforward process, open the project/template into which the schedule views are to be placed. From the Ribbon menu, choose Insert tab and use the insert from file command.

After choosing the Insert Views from File option, navigate to the source project file and select it. A dialogue will then display providing options of different views to import. Select the required views and click OK.

The schedule will now transfer to the current project and should appear in the Project Browser list of views. This process also works for Drafting Views, Reports and Sheets. It is also useful for transferring standard detail drawings and notes to specific projects.
