Recap 2023 - Docs Point Cloud Viewer

With the introduction of Recap 2023, it is now possible to view and navigate point clouds directly from a web browser.

This functionality is for point clouds published to Docs Projects (ACC/BIM 360), using the guide below. Access and permissions are managed in the usual way for Docs.

To start with, make sure Desktop Connector is running, as this is required for the process.

In Recap go to Publish from the Home Button:

Point the connected drive location to your chosen Docs Project, then click Publish:

In Autodesk Docs, any user can simply click on the .rcp file and the viewer will load:
