What new things do we see in Revit 2023? – Duplicate Parameter in Family Editor

Adding parameters to families can be a bit tiresome, although with similar elements this issue can be mitigated with a custom family template. For previous Revit releases, solutions were offered by developers like DiRoots to duplicate parameters, with their Paramanager Add-in. However, with Revit 2023 some of this functionality is now offered out of the box, with an additional button in the Family Editor, family types dialogue. The DiRoots add-in does offer other tools like transferring Parameters to and from Excel to a Shared Parameter (SP) file and merging separate SP files together.

At the time of writing this post there is no version for 2023, but no doubt DiRoots or another developer will provide a solution in the near future.
