A common question I often receive from customers is whether Revit LT has structural capabilities.

The answer is a cautious yes, in that Revit LT does have some limited structural capabilities. Revit LT can place beams, columns, bracing, isolated foundations and wall foundations. However, Revit LT lacks the ability to put in more advanced structural items like beam systems, trusses, steel connections and concrete reinforcement elements. It also lacks API support meaning that many useful Revit add-ins will not work with the LT platform. It is also worth noting that even with the current version LT 2023, the software lacks view filters, PDF referencing and other key collaboration tools.

Revit LT, relates to ‘Limited Technology’ when compared to it’s full product cousin. However, for working on smaller, isolated projects to produce working drawings and schedules Revit LT is more than capable in its task.
