Swap Views on Sheets

Revit 2022: To swap a view on a sheet, you must remove it from the sheet and place the new one.

Revit 2023: Now when a view is selected on a sheet, the Swap View tool becomes active. You can now switch the selected view for the one you want. In the example illustrated below, Floor Plan: Level 1 is cross referenced to Sheet A102. This view can be swapped to any other view not on a sheet (in this example – Elevation North).

If you try to swap a view to another view that is already on a sheet, you will see the following warning:

Note: Plugins and Dynamo scripts are also useful ways to organise sheets.
