FormIt - Accessing FormIt Plugins

If you don’t use Autodesk’s FormIt regularly, you may be missing out on some of the plugins that are available for the application.  Plugins are custom software additions that expand FormIt's core functionality. Plugins can enhance and simplify your 3D modelling workflows in FormIt.

Plugins can be used to generate objects, make modifications to existing objects, or extract information about an object. Plugins can also use rich web interfaces to display data and provide controls and inputs directly in the application.

There are some great tools in here. One of the best is 3D Context Creator which allows you to populate a space based on Google or Bing Map inserts, then give surrounding buildings height without any expensive Drone surveys.

All Plugins are open source, allowing you to use the Plugin Manager free of charge, publish and share your plugin content easily. You and find other plugins on GitHub ( https://github.com/) to understand how they're built.
