Recent versions of Revit have brought many Quality of Life (QoL) improvements to the user environment. This includes the ability to search within all kinds of Revit dialogue boxes.

A commonly used function is Revit’s Visibility Graphics dialogue. This tool can be employed to switch different category and subcategories on or off, apply overrides, set display filters and if enabled Worksets and Design Options. Whilst the best practice way to efficiently manage views is with view templates, the initial view configurations still need to be set and applied. A tip to make this process easier is to use Revit’s search field within the Visibility Graphics (VG) interface and save the user needlessly scrolling through lengthy lists.

Once the display settings have been established, apply the settings to a View Template for easy change of view settings at any time.
